Far Eastern University (FEU) forced a decider in the UAAP Season 81 women’s volleyball “Final 4” after their 10-25, 25-23, 25-22, 12-25, 15-8 win over Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) over the weekend at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Heather Guino-o spearheaded the attack with 17 points on eight kills, four kill blocks, and five aces; Jeannette Villareal added 10 markers, including eight from spikes; Jerrili Malabanan scored eight points; and rookie France Ronquillo contributed seven markers.

FEU broke a 7-7 deadlock in the fifth set with a 6-0 scoring run, which was  capped by a Malabanan hit for a 13-7 advantage. While Madeleine Madayag managed to stop the bleeding for AdMU with a kill block on Malabanan, they were unable to muster consecutive points as Bea De Leon was called on four touches before Jules Samonte sent her attack long, which served as the final nail in the coffin for Ateneo.
