WVRAA to vie for secondary volleyball titles

The Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association (WVRAA) will be vying for both the secondary boys’ and girls’ volleyball title in the ongoing 2019 Palarong Pambansa after defeating their respective semifinal opponents yesterday in Davao City.
The girls’ team completed a 25-16, 25-16 sweep of Region VIII; while the boys’ team beat Region III.
“We know that we will have a tough opponent on Saturday,” said girls’ team assistant coach Biboy Calamba. “Nevertheless, we will just give our best and hope for a positive result.”
In addition, the WVRAA elementary girls’ volleyball team also made the championship round after defeating the National Capital Region Athletic Association.
In other sports, the WVRAA secondary boys’ football team leaned on a conversion by Barotac Nuevo native LJ Jayaon to beat Calabarzon in the semifinals./ASC, WDJ
