“…This gospel of salvation coming from God shall be preached to all the nations… and then the end shall come…” –Matthew 24:14
Due to preparations for the recently-concluded 12th commemoration of the Children of God Blood Kin of the Christ Church, or the Simbahang Anak ng Diyos Kadugo Ni Kristo (AND KNK), which was established in pursuit of biblical works of “proclaiming” and “saving,” this column has not been published for the past couple days and weeks. The event was held last weekend at a resort along Baloy Beach in Olongapo City, Zambales.
God, Himself, established AND KNK as a means to fulfill His purpose before the end of the world. AND KNK believes the church was put up by God before creation.
The church is currently pursuing work in the Philippines and around the world. “Proclaiming” and “saving” anchored on Jesus being God and Savior, and God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – as is written in the Bible. Members of the church believe proof of such a claim are in His manifestations; even those claimed by His disciples and individuals who did not believe in Him. The “Kadugos” of AND KNK believe God wanted these “twin works” to be pursued in earnest as they provide opportunity for people to enjoy the promises made by the Bible pertaining to the three “levels of salvation.” The first level concerns salvation in this world and its hardships, difficulties, dissension, rebuke, and failure; the second is salvation from the “great tribulation,” which refers to the scorching of the heavens, sun, moon, stars, earth, and all who do not prove true to Jesus; and the third is salvation in the life hereafter in paradise—in the presence of God.
AND KNK members believe, although the twin biblical works of “proclaiming” and “saving” are truly awesome and greatly burdensome, the people chosen by God, whom He is sending, will triumph in the end. This is why the church transforms members into “proclaimers,” or preachers and pastors, in order for everyone to pursue those works.
Its mission calls on members’ persistent and honest-to-goodness reading, meditating, and fulfilling of what has been written in its “basic teachings” (or Mga Batayang Aral) through weekly messages from their leader disciple and the Bible.
The successful and triumphant conclusion of the AND KNK 12th annual commemoration confirmed God, indeed, was the one who chose them and has sent them to the Philippines and the world.
