The Commission on Elections (Comelec) estimated there to be approximately 1,525,168 registered voters in Iloilo for the upcoming midterm elections, which are scheduled to commence on May 13.

“There will be 1,411 voting centers, 9,670 established precincts, and 2,572 clustered/grouped precincts,” explained Passi City election officer Alice Bernadette Naranjo during a recent briefing for information officers at the Philippine Information Office-Region VI. “On election day, voters should look for their names [on] the precinct computerized voters list posted near the door of the polling place and determine [their] precinct number and sequence number.”

Afterwards, she said voters should consult the electoral board, who will “verify your identity and check if any of your fingernails have already been stained with indelible ink.”

Precincts will be open from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m../WDJ
