Ara Rahbea Delotavo of Bacolod Tay Tung High School recently won a silver medal at the ongoing 2019 Arafura Games in Darwin, Australia. The competition opened last Friday and is scheduled to run until May 4.

The Silay City native medaled in the 4×100 meter relay alongside Evangelene Caminong, Jessel Lumapas, and Eliza Cuyom

Among the athletes winning gold for the Philippines included Lumapas in the women’s 400-meter run; Abigail Manzano in the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase; Nicko Caparoso – men’s 3,000-member steeplechase; Bruce Fernia – men’s javelin throw; John Lloyd Cabalo – men’s 400-meter run; and Jovanie Calixto, Romel Bautista, Jason Buenacosa, and Cabalo – men’s 4×100-meter relay./ASC, WDJ
