The Central Negros Electric Cooperative Inc. yesterday revealed residential rates for April have decreased by just under 10¢ with rates falling to 11.1044 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) from last month’s rate of P11.2033/kWh.
According to a statement from the utility co-op, generation and transmission charges, Energy Regulatory Commission-approved adjustments, government subsidies, and taxes “comprised 89.31 percent or equivalent to P9.9178/kWh of the bill.”
Meanwhile, another 10.69 percent or P1.1866/kWh went to distribution, supply, metering, among other items./DGB, WDJ
