An estimated two grams worth of suspected shabu were confiscated last Tuesday following a buy-bust operation at Purok 4-B in Barangay Recreo, located in Pontevedra, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the arrested suspect as Edgar ‘Gang-gang’ Avaristo, a 28-years-old resident of Purok Biante in the said barangay.

Pontevedra municipal police chief, Police Captain Rhojn Darell Nigos, said Avaristo, a newly-identified drug personality, was arrested after he handed over one sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for P500.

A follow-up search yielded three more sachets of suspected shabu, with a combined market value of P16,000.
