The 2nd Ati, Bukidnon, Tumandok Festival is scheduled to kick-off today in Isabela with a thanksgiving mass and a grand parade.
Isabela Mayor Joselito Malabor yesterday said this year’s fiesta will pay tribute not only to the indigenous people but to those born and raised in the locality, also known as ‘tumandoks.’
He said the grand parade will be followed by the opening program.
Highlights of the first day will include the Agri-Fair as well as the opening of the basketball and volleyball tournaments. The second day, April 25, includes the Kasalan ng Bayan and the Department of Education Day to be followed by a bloodletting activity and motocross the following day.
The event concludes on April 27 with the Tumandok Festival Street Dancing Competition./DGB, WDJ
