A newly-identified drug personality was recently arrested after police recovered P60,000 worth of suspected shabu from her home at Purok Narra Baybay in Bacolod City’s Barangay 8.

Police identified the suspect as 31-year-old Anna Marie Apurong, a resident of the said area.

Police Station 2 (PS2) commander, Police Captain Leo Estopa, said they arrested Apurong after she handed over one sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for P500.

A subsequent search yielded a total nine sachets of suspected shabu, a coin pouch, and the P500 marked money.

Apurong is presently detained at PS2 and faces illegal drugs charges./DGB, WDJ
