Following a scuffle between Christian Standhardinger of the San Miguel Beerman and Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters’ Calvin Abueva in Game 2 of their 2019 Honda PBA Philippine Cup semifinal series last week, the PBA Commissioner’s Office has issued penalties against the two players.
Standhardinger was caught striking Abueva’s face with his left foot while the latter was on the floor. Later, the Beerman player hit the Fuel Masters forward in the groin.
Standhardinger was slapped with a P20,000 fine for the flagrant foul 2 infraction, while Abueva was ordered to pay P15,000 for flashing “the dirty finger” several times.
Meanwhile, Abueva’s teammate Doug Kramer was also slapped with P5,000 fine for the flagrant foul 1 committed against Beermen center June Mar Fajardo./ASC, WDJ
