A 59-year-old man was recently arrested by police after he allegedly pointed a firearm at a teenager in Barangay Lopez Jaena, Murcia.

Police identified the victim as 18-year-old Jonathan Rivera, a resident of the said neighborhood.

Based on information provided by Murcia municipal police, Rivera contacted their station after the suspect, Emeliano Sandot, pointed an improvised firearm at him.

Police immediately responded, which resulted in the suspect’s arrest.

Cops recovered the said firearm from the suspect.

Sandot is facing charges for illegal possession of firearms and violation of the Commission on Elections Gun Ban./DGB, WDJ
