Bacolodnon wins at Asia-Oceania qualifier

Alexa Milliam of Bacolod City, along with the Philippine junior women’s national tennis team, recently conquered the World Juniors Tennis Championships Asia-Oceania qualifier by defeating Japan in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Milliam opened the finals with a 6-2, 7-5 win over Sayaka Ishi; which was followed by Alex Eala putting the Philippines up 2-0 following her 6-3, 6-0 win over Mio Mushika.

The Philippines earlier faced South Korea in the semifinals, where they came from behind to win the series 2-1./ASC, WDJ
