The Palarong Pambansa Board and Department of Education (DepEd) recently announced Negros Occidental would host Palarong Pambansa 2021.
The confirmation came through a letter from DepEd Undersecretary and Palarong Pambansa Secretary General, Atty. Revsee Escobedo, to Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr.
Earlier this year, a joint technical inspection team arrived in the province to conduct inspections and validations for sporting venues and proposed accommodation facilities.
The inspections brought the team to Bago City, Bacolod City, Silay City, and Talisay City.
According to Project Development Officer Lemuel Valles, the proposed playing venues were compliant by DepEd standards and said there were sufficient accommodation facilities for the event./WDJ
