A family driver was found dead Wednesday night inside a vehicle parked in Bacolod City’s downtown area.

Police identified the fatality as 48-year-old Salvador Lopez III, a resident of San Enrique, Negros Occidental.

Information provided by Police Station 1 said 44-year-old Dan Quitco, also a resident of San Enrique, returned to the car and found Lopez’ lifeless remains inside.

The nearby 911 station at San Juan Street immediately responded but paramedics reported Lopez did not show any signs of life.

Rescuers rushed Lopez to a hospital in an attempt to revive him, but he was later declared dead on arrival by medical staff.

His death was later ruled a cardiac arrest as Quitco informed police the deceased was suffering from hypertension./DGB, WDJ
