Go for Gold-CSB holds off Batangas-EAC

The Go for Gold-CSB Scratchers wasted an early lead but held off the Batangas-EAC Generals and managed to earn a 102-87 win in the 2019 PBA D-League yesterday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Justin Gutang led the victory with 20 points, eight assists, six steals, and three rebounds; Roosevelt Adams added a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds; while Ilonggo Yankie Haruna and Jeremiah Pangalangan each scored 13 points.

Go for Gold-CSB got off to a strong start and led by as much as 28-11 on inside hits from Pangalangan but Batangas-EAC countered with a run in the second quarter.

The scored eventually tied up at 84-all in the fourth period as Prince Carlos pushed Go for Gold-CSB ahead with back-to-back triples before Gutang and Adams wrapped the game up./ASC, WDJ
