Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor, Sr. led the inauguration of an P825,000 water system in Lemery over the weekend.
The water system, which is located in the town’s Barangay Nasapahan, is expected to benefit 40 households.
The project was a Level III water supply facility, which, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority, is defined as a water supply facility with a source, reservoir, piped distribution network with adequate treatment facility, and household taps.
The system was completed in two phases.
Meanwhile, Engr. Rene Margarico of the Provincial Engineer’s Office said, for 2018, they allotted P27 million for the establishment of water systems in 45 barangays across Iloilo./WDJ
