An alleged drug suspect was nabbed by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) operatives in a buy-bust operation at Purok Narra Baybay, Barangay 8 in Bacolod City.

Police identified the arrested as 53-year-old Esmeniano Gecano, a resident of the said place.

CDEU head, Police Lieutenant Col. Leonardo Borromeo, said they arrested Gecano after he handed over one sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for P1,000.

A search further yielded four sachets of suspected shabu with a total weight of 12 grams and valued at P155,000.
Gecano is now detained at Police Station 2 and is facing illegal drugs charges./DGB, WDJ
