The Ateneo de Manila University women’s volleyball team kept its eyes on the top spot of the 81st UAAP women’s volleyball season after their 25-23, 25-16, 25-23 sweep over the University of the Philippines last Saturday at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Kat Tolentino led the win with 15 points on 11 attacks, three blocks, and a service ace; while Madeleine Madayag and Bea de Leon contributed 10 and nine markers, respectively; and Julia Samonte adding eight points and 15 digs.

“I think we got lucky,” said team captain De Leon. “We gave up a lot of errors – that’s on us.”

AdMU felt most threatened in the third set, where they had to rally from 20-18 down to surge ahead 23-21.
