The NLEX Road Warriors cruised to its second straight lopsided win in the 2019 Honda PBA Philippine Cup after taking down Blackwater Elite, 122-101, last night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Philip Paniamogan led NLEX with 25 points and nine assists, John Paul Erram added a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Pedrito Galanza and Kenneth Ighalo scored 18 and 17 points, respectively.

The Road Warriors waxed early behind Erram and Juan Miguel Tiongson for a 23-15 edge but the Elite rallied back and took a 27-25 lead before NLEX finished the first half strong on outside hits by Paniamogan and Galanza.

Galanza and Paniamogan continued the onslaught for the Road Warriors in the second half as their outside hits gave them their largest lead at 84-55 on an inside basket by Negrense Raul Soyud.

The Elite, however, later went on a run to cut their deficit to 95-86 but the Road Warriors kept them at bay as baskets from Erram, Galanza, and Ighalo brought the lead back to 119-95./ASC, WDJ
