The University of the Philippines (UP) maintained their unbeaten record in the 81st UAAP men’s football season following their recent 2-1 win over Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) at the Far Eastern University-Diliman (FEU-Diliman) pitch.

Dan Saavedra opened scoring for UP with a 42nd minute penalty before King Miyagi doubled the advantage four minutes after the restart. Rupert Baña netted a conversion for AdMU in the 79th minute but they were unable to come up with an equalizer with UP tightening their defense.

Meanwhile, in other matches, the University of the East drew Adamson University, 1-1; De La Salle University beat National University, 2-1; and, on the women’s side, the University of Santo Tomas beat UP, 2-1./ASC, WDJ
