NOPSSCEA sweeps secondary volleyball titles

The Negros Occidental Private School Sports, Cultural and Educational Association (NOPSSCEA) swept both secondary volleyball competition of the 2019 Western Visayas Private Schools Athletic Association (WVPRISAA) Meet yesterday at the University of St. La Salle.

The secondary girls’ team captured the title with a 26-24, 25-21, 25-12 defeat of the Iloilo Private Schools Athletic Association (ILOPRISAA). Meanwhile, the NOPSSCEA boys’ team also beat ILOPRISAA in straight sets, winning 25-23, 26-24, 25-20.

Among individual awards on the boys’ side, Jian Matthew Salarzon was named Most Valuable Player, Kristoffer John Salvatierra won best setter, and Laurence Alaban took best opposite spiker./ASC, WDJ
