Bacolod Tay Tung High School (BTTHS) is looking to retain their Batang Pinoy girls’ volleyball title as their 2019 Visayas qualifying leg kicks off today at the Central Philippine University gym.

“We might have a practically new team but this a fighting lineup,” said BTTHS head coach Charisse Neri. “We are positive that we can repeat here in Batang Pinoy.”

“This group has been training and playing for a while now so chemistry will not be an issue,” she added. “However, we still have to be prepared because we will be facing among the best team here in Visayas.”

This year’s roster includes Amber Lily Biong, Sandy Sta. Rita, Jothea Ramos, Ana Hermosura, Sophie Cagalawan, Alijah Ysulan, Jermaine Joniega, and Antheia Galicia; alongside holdovers from last year’s competition Katherine Shane Cortez, Charlene Tayapad, Nicolei Galvan, and Gwen Banas./ASC, WDJ
