Negros Occidental takes second place in secondary boys’ football

The Negros Occidental secondary boys’ football team finished in second place in the 2019 Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association meet after losing 2-0 to Iloilo last Thursday at the Villareal Stadium in Roxas City, Capiz.

Khent Brian Valenzuela scored a brace for the Ilonggo side, scoring in the 40th minute and again late in the match.

Meanwhile, in elementary boys’ baseball, Negros Occidental captured the title after defeating Aklan in the finals.

In the secondary boys’ competition, Iloilo beat Negros Occidental in the gold medal game./ASC, WDJ
