Negrense girls’ volleyball team remains unbeaten

The Negros Occidental secondary girls’ volleyball team remains undefeated in the ongoing 2019 Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association meet, which is currently taking place in Roxas City, Capiz.

Their most recent victory came yesterday with a 25-18, 25-11 win over Aklan. The team, which is comprised of Bacolod Tay Tung High School student-athletes, next faces Iloilo this morning.

Meanwhile, Negros Occidental teams triumphed in other sports including the 3×3 basketball team beating Capiz, 18-11, in the competition semifinals; elementary boys’ basketball team defeating Capiz, 63-54; and secondary boys’ basketball team winning 82-75 over Aklan.

However, Negrenses also suffered defeat with the elementary boys’ football team losing 2-1 to Iloilo./ASC, WDJ
