A 28-year-old man killed himself yesterday morning at Sto. Niño Village in Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City after his wife allegedly left him.

Police refused to name the said victim, but confirmed he was jobless and had three kids.

Based on a statement provided by the victim’s stepbrother, he discovered his sibling’s body hanging from a tree around 5:30 a.m.

The victim was reportedly suffering from depression after his wife left him.

He was also allegedly addicted to illegal drugs.

The victim’s father, meanwhile, said his son’s addiction had become a problem as he repeatedly sold their belongings to buy illegal drugs.

They added, prior to supposed suicide, the victim reportedly saw his wife with another man on social media./DGB, WDJ
