On the heels of losing striker Patrick Reichelt and midfielder Manuel Ott, Ceres-Negros FC recently announced their acquisition of midfielder Miguel Tanton from Kaya FC-Iloilo, along with three other players.
The American-born player, who spent four years with the Ilonggo outfit, joins Ceres FC together with Dylan De Bruycker and Dennis Villanueva, formerly of Davao Aguilas FC; and Angelo Marasigan from Global Cebu FC.
The new recruits will be seeing action by early next month when Ceres-Negros FC kicks off their AFC Champions League qualifying campaign and hosting Yangon United FC of Myanmar on February 5 at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City.
With regard to the departing players, Reichelt will be joining Melaka United, which finished seventh in last season’s Malaysia Super League; while Ott will be playing with Ratchaburi Mitr Phol FC, which closed the 2018 Thai League 1 season in 12th place./ASC, WDJ
