Endurance Challenge Philippines is organizing an ultramarathon in Negros, which is scheduled to begin on Friday, January 25. The race begins in Bacolod City and ends in Dumaguete City, stretching a total of 134 miles.
Two Negrenses, Rolando Espina, Jr. of Bacolod City and Christopher Maravilla of Binalbagan, are both expected to join the competition.
Espina, the first Filipino to conquer the 234-kilometer Spartathlon race in Greece, said the race across Negros offers the opportunity for a “leisurely run and take in the beauty of our island.”
A total 10 runners are expected to take part./WDJ
