The Negros Occidental Tourism Division, in partnership with Tourism Educators and Movers Philippines-Western Visayas and the Department of Tourism-Region VI (DOT-6), will be conducting tour guide training courses every weekend starting on March 2.

The 23-day course will include topics such as personality development, destinations and activities, basic first aid, crisis management, Filipino culture, DOT accreditation, among others.

Anybody interested in becoming a DOT-accredited tour guide can participate.

There is a P9,500 course package, which includes learning materials, field visits, and meals.

Pre-screening will take place at the Provincial Tourism Office, located in the Negros Occidental Provincial Capitol, on February 26.
