The St. John’s Institute (SJI) white team won the Wilson 3×3 Basketball Challenge10-and-under category, which took place recently in Pototan, Iloilo.
The team comprised of Tabby Aldwyn Espartero, Ryton Celis, Carlos Miguel Reonal, and Jacob Javelosa defeated the SJI blue team in the finals.
The win earns them a spot in the Wilson 3×3 Basketball Challenge National Finals, scheduled for May 11 at the Buendia Food by the Court in Pasay City.
SJI is the fifth team from Negros Occidental to qualify for the national competition following Team Sharks, Bacolod Tay Tung High School, Team Integros, and NYBC.
