After two years as Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) director, Police Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Castil, Jr. has been relieved from his post.

NOPPO spokesperson, Police Senior Inspector Aireen Cordua, said the relief order was issued last December 28.

She said a turnover ceremony will be held at NOPPO headquarters on Monday, January 7, but said it is “tentative” as it depends if Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6) director, Police Chief Superintendent John Bulalacao, returns in time from his annual New Year’s Call at Camp Crame in Metro Manila.

Castil, who is expected to be appointed as PRO-6 Regional Intelligence Division officer-in-charge, will be replaced by Police Senior Superintendent Romeo Baleros. The latter will serve as NOPPO officer-in-charge.

The Philippine National Police is expected to reshuffle officers nationwide, especially those who have already served two years at the same post./DGB, WDJ
