A motorcyclist was killed last Thursday after the vehicle he was operating was struck by a truck along the Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road at Hacienda Mana-ul in Barangay Matab-ang, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the fatality as Marvin Pasion, a resident of Barangay Zone 12-A in the said city.

Talisay City Police Station traffic investigators said the truck, which was driven by an unidentified individual, who immediately fled following the incident, was traveling south.

The truck, while executing a left turn, struck Pasion’s motorcycle, killing the driver on the spot.

Witnesses said, instead of stopping to provide assistance, the unidentified truck driver sped off, heading east.

The truck was later recovered by Talisay City police, but the driver could not be located./DGB, WDJ
