A resident of Barangay Castellano, located in Calatrava, Negros Occidental, is currently being sought after by police after allegedly stealing his neighbor’s motorcycle.
Police identified the suspect as Carlo Claro.
Based on investigations by Calatrava municipal police, around 10:00 a.m. last Sunday, the victim, identified as 46-year-old Jose Marlaw Sanchez, reported his Honda XR 125 motorcycle had been stolen by Claro from his residence.
According to Sanchez, Claro visited his residence last Thursday and asked if he could borrow his motorcycle. Sanchez refused but, once inside his home, Claro allegedly boarded the motorcycle and immediately sped off towards San Carlos City.
After several days of searching, Sanchez managed to tracked down the stolen motorcycle in Barangay 1, San Carlos City.
He later discovered Claro pawned the motorcycle to 62-year-old Carlito Gumo, who immediately released the motorcycle back to Sanchez after showing documents proving ownership of the vehicle./DGB, WDJ
