At least 17 people were injured after two jeepneys collided Saturday morning outside the Providence Negros Subdivision in Barangay Granada, Bacolod City.
Police Station 5 (PS5) traffic investigator, Police Officer 3 Mark Villaruz, said the accident involved passenger jeeps driven by Romulo Raquel of Barangay Granada and Vincent Aguas of Barangay Alangilan.
Villaruz said Raquel collided with Aguas while attempting to avoid a stopped vehicle.
Passengers of both vehicles suffered cuts and bruises due to the incident, while others with more serious bodily injuries were transported to various hospitals in the city.
Raquel, meanwhile, surrendered to PS5 following the accident./DGB, WDJ
