Negros farmers’ festival exceeds P350K in first day sales

The 13th Negros Island Organic Farmers’ Festival, which opened last Wednesday at the Negros Occidental Provincial Capitol, reported opening day sales of P350,687.75.

According to the festival committee, fresh farm products amounted for a majority of the sales, totaling P198,257.

The four-day occasion features organic products and showcases sustainable innovations and technologies.

There will also be lectures on a variety of topics including rice production, coco sugar, natural farming, organic cacao and chocolate making, food safety, black pig raising, among other subjects./WDJ
