An electrician was wounded after he was stabbed last Thursday by two men during a heated altercation at the Murcia Public Plaza.
Police identified the victim as 22-year-old Richard Ondangan, a native of Mandaue City, Cebu and presently employed by a local establishment in the town’s Barangay Blumentritt.
Murcia municipal police said the victim was drinking with friends when he got up to use the facilities. While in the comfort room, Ondangan reportedly bumped into the suspects, identified as Bonbon Cortez and a certain Ramboo Bacacao. A heated argument ensued, resulting in Ondangan being stabbed by the one of the suspects, who immediately fled after the incident.
The victim was rushed to the Riverside Medical Center for treatment after sustaining a stab wound to the stomach.
Police, meanwhile, are presently conducting a manhunt operation against the suspects./DGB, WDJ
