A newly-identified drug personality was arrested early yesterday morning following a buy-bust operation at Talaba-an Punta in Barangay Zone 1, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the suspect as 53-year-old Rodolfo ‘Lagombay’ Arroyo, a resident of the said area.

Cadiz City police chief, Police Chief Inspector Rocky Desear, said they arrested Arroyo after he handed one elongated sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover cop, in exchange for P500.

A search of the suspect yielded one additional elongated and one small sachet of suspected shabu, along with the P500 in marked money.

Desear estimated value of the seized drugs at P2,500.

Arroyo faces drug-related charges and is detained at the Cadiz City Police Station./DGB, WDJ
