Five arrested in Silay City for stealing electrical wire

Five suspected robbers were arrested on Wednesdy after they were caught stealing electrical wire at Hacienda Panaogao in Barangay 4, Silay City, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the suspects as Oliver Romero, Adrian Tamparong, Florante Mendoza, Joemar dela Cruz, and Kimberly Dela Cruz, all residents of Barangay Banago, Bacolod City.
Silay City police said they were conducting a routine patrol in the said area when they caught the suspects cutting and stealing wires.
Cops immediately arrested the suspects and, during their search, recovered a .38 caliber revolver and four live units of ammunition from Romero.
Also recovered from the suspects were a hammer, cutting pliers, flashlight, and the allegedly stolen electrical wire.
Aside from theft charges, Romero is also facing illegal possession of firearms charges./DGB, WDJ
