‘Samuel’ postpones basketball competition

The Tropical Depression Samuel postponed the men’s basketball competition of the 38th Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports, Cultural and Educational Association (NOPSSCEA) season, which was supposed to open yesterday.
Among the teams expected to compete include reigning champions Colegio de Sta. Ana de Victorias, University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R), STI-West Negros University, University of St. La Salle (USLS), La Consolacion College-Bacolod (LCC), Asian College of Aeronautics, Visayan Maritime Academy-Global College, and Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod (CSA-B).
The opening games were supposed to feature LCC taking on USLS and CSA-B playing UNO-R.
Tournament manager Anthony Carlo Agustin said they have yet to determine when the competition will resume./JSG, WDJ
