Negros Occidental High School recently defeated Escalante National High School, 75-58, in the opening game of the SM-National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) provincial league at the St. John’s Institute (SJI) activity center in Bacolod City. Meanwhile, La Consolacion College-Bacolod beat Trinity Christian School, 74-58.

In other results, Bacolod City National High School beat Sum-ag National High School, 102-60, and the Bacolod Christian Center of Negros, 96-77; the Sum-ag school also lost 104-65 to SJI.
