Three individuals face illegal possession of firearms charges after police conducted an entrapment operation against them Wednesday night at Purok Azucena in Barangay Old Poblacion, Escalante City.

Police identified the arrested as 49-year-old Leslie Lamayo, 49-year-old Rollie Jaena, and 55-year-old Luzvimin Bautista.

Escalante City police said, during the operation, they recovered a KG-9 submachine gun; 9mm and .22 caliber rifle; .45 caliber pistol; and magazines for 9mm, .22 caliber, and .45 caliber type firearms.

Cops also recovered several units of live ammunition, as well as two silencers.

The three are presently detained at the Escalante City Police Station./DGB, WDJ
