A 16-year-old was hospitalized late Tuesday night after allegedly being mauled by an unidentified group in Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City.

Police refused to identify the victim, but revealed they are a resident of Purok Riverside in the city’s Barangay Montevista.

Based on the victim’s statement to police, while accompanied by friends, they were approached by the suspects, who reportedly assaulted and mauled the victim before fleeing.

The victim suffered cuts to the head and bruises to the knee, and were immediately brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital for treatment.

Police are presently investigating the incident./DGB, WDJ
