According to the Bacolod City Commission on Elections (Comelec), based on their most recent data, there are a total of 313,308 voters in the city. During the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections last May, there were a total of 297,583 registered voters in Bacolod City.

Bacolod elections supervisor, Atty. Mavil Majarucon Sia, said there are a total of 35 individuals seeking citywide office in next year’s midterm elections, with three candidates vying for mayor, two for vice mayor, and the rest running for seats on the Sangguniang Panlungsod.

She noted, an official list of candidates will be posted on November 19. It was originally supposed to go up last Friday but the Comelec legal department was unable to complete the task.
