UST/LOPTTA sweep competition

The University of Santo Tomas/Lopue’s Table Tennis Association team swept all four categories of the Negros Occidental Super League Table Tennis Tournament 2018, which closed earlier this week at SM City Bacolod and CityMall Mandalagan.

John Michael Castro, Maj. Paul Jerome Puentespina, John Paul Gubaton, and Mark Francis Jimenez captured the team competition defeating Team United in the finals.

In addition, Castro, who was earlier named Rookie of the Year by the University Athletic Association of the Philippines, won gold in the varsity, regional, and national singles events.
