Duterte issues warning to drug personalities

President Rodrigo Duterte, who was in Bacolod City over the weekend for the MassKara Festival highlights, threatened to kill a local barangay captain who he accused of being linked to illegal drugs.

“Get out of the city, if not–I’m telling you frankly–I will destroy you,” the president said to the unnamed official.

Duterte also criticized other barangay officials with previous engagement with illegal drugs, claiming they are pretending to be “incorruptible.”

He also issued a warning to all drug personalities.

“Do not destroy my country with drugs because will really kill you,” the president affirmed.

As of press time, the Bacolod City Police Office has yet to issue a statement regarding the said barangay official./DGB, WDJ
