Gun ban, signal jamming begin tomorrow

The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) announced a gun ban would be implemented in the city starting tomorrow, October 27, during the MassKara Festival highlights.

BCPO spokesperson Police Chief Inspector Sherlock Gabana, said signal jamming would also begin at the three festival sites, the Bacolod City Government Center, Bacolod Public Plaza, and Lacson Tourism Strip, until Sunday, October 28.

Signal jamming will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Gabana has also appealed for understanding and cooperation from the public as the precautionary measures will ensure peace and security during the celebrations.

He added, they have yet to receive any confirmation if President Rodrigo Duterte will attend the highlights but said the BCPO is fully prepared./DGB, WDJ
