SJI, BTTHS defend Bacolod City leg titles

St. John’s Institute (SJI) and Bacolod Tay Tung High School (BTTHS) each defended their Small Basketeers of the Philippines-Passerelle (SBP-Passerelle) Bacolod City leg titles over the weekend at the Negros Occidental Teachers’ Federation gym.

SJI beat BTTHS, 70-44, in the SBP division. The eventual winners opened the game with a massive 35-4 lead in the first period. They went on to extend their lead to 58-23 in the third quarter and subsequently captured the title.

Paul Barcelona led the victory with 14 points, followed by Julio Teruel adding 10.

Despite the loss, John Ordas scored 23 points for BTTHS.

In the Passarelle division, BTTHS beat SJI, 76-74./JSG, WDJ
