The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) yesterday said they plan to step up anti-drug operations as part of preparations for this year’s MassKara Festival, which is set to open in two weeks.

BCPO spokesperson, Police Chief Inspector Sherlock Gabana, said anti-drug operations aim to cut off the supply of illegal drugs.

Records show, since September 1, they have hauled almost P3 million worth of shabu, with the largest made last Wednesday in Barangay 2, where P1.2 million worth of suspected shabu was recovered.

BCPO director, Police Senior Superintendent Francisco Ebreo, ordered intensified anti-drug operations as they are expecting a large demand for illegal drugs during the festivities./DGB, WDJ
