Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. and Angkla partylist Rep. Jesulito Manalo led yesterday’s inauguration of a new Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) office building at the Panaad Park in Bacolod City’s Barangay Mansilingan.

The building serves as an extension office building for Marina-Region VI (Marina-6), along with offering a training center and research facility.

According to Marina-6 director, Engr. Rizal Victoria, who gave the welcome address, the extension office also provides convenience for local seafarers who need to process their deck and engine licensure examinations.

Also present at the event were Negros Occidental Vice Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, Negros Occidental second district Rep. Leo Rafael Cueva, Bacolod City Administrator John Orola, among others./WDJ
