Two suspected drug personalities were arrested Tuesday night following a buy-bust operation at the St. Martin Subdivision in Barangay 21, Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the suspects as 40-year-old Rio Palmes, a resident of the said barangay; and 37-year-old Maniel Sarito.
Victorias City police chief, Police Chief Inspector Eduardo Corpuz, said the primary target of the operation was Palmes, who is currently listed as a drug personality by local law enforcement.
Cops moved in after Palmes handed over one sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for P400.
Sarito, who was in the area during the operation, was subsequently arrested.
Police recovered three additional sachets of suspected shabu from Palmes; while Sarito yielded one elongated sachet of suspected shabu, along with drug paraphernalia.
Both suspects face illegal drugs charges and are detained at the Victorias City Police Station./DGB, WDJ
