A reportedly jealous man killed his wife Sunday afternoon in Isabela, Negros Occidental after it was discovered she was having an affair.

Police identified the fatality as Angela Arevalo, a resident of the town’s Barangay Bungahin and an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) from Kuwait.

Isabela municipal police chief, Police Senior Inspector Randy Babor, said, prior to the incident, Arevalo and her husband, Arnaiz, had been quarreling.

It was revealed, while the wife was working as an OFW in Kuwait, she began a relationship with another man from Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. She returned home last Saturday with her new partner, whom police have not named, and went straight to her parents’ home. That Sunday, she visited her husband’s home to retrieve her two children.

However, upon arrival, she was assaulted by her husband, who allegedly pulled out his bladed weapon and stabbed his wife to death.

The victim sustained stab wounds to her hands, chest, and body.

Babor added, they are still conducting a manhunt operation against the husband, who potentially faces parricide charges./DGB, WDJ
